A new breed of sound awaits us on December 6 as we witness the release of Korn‘s 10th studio album The Path Of Totality. Korn infuse more power in them, the record says straight up revolution and we cant go wrong with anarchy dubstep and electronic herds, who collaborated in the making of this album such as Skrillex, Excision, Downlink, Noisia, Feed Me, 12th Planet, and Flinch.
“The title The Path of Totality refers to the fact that in order to see the sun in a full solar eclipse, you must be in the exact right place in the exact right time,” Korn frontman Jonathan Davis explained. “That’s how this album came together. I think all the producers feel the same way. I’m not sure it could ever happen again.”
The standard album has 11 songs and special edition includes a DVD of The Encounter featuring a full length HD of one of their enigmatic concerts, as well as interviews with the band about the concept of the record, totaling over 1 hour and 50 minutes of footage.

Frontman Joey Belladonna of Anthrax was tackled by a security guard during a concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. The band was playing Metal Thrashing Mad when a fan went nuts and found his way jumping on stage. Singer Joey Belladonna stepped back before getting behind the fan to restrain him then a guard blasted to the stage headfirst and took both of them down. More security came onto the stage to cease the commotion and restrain angry bassist Frank Bello, who went after the spearing security guard.
“It’s pretty smart to tackle the singer,” ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian said onstage. “F*cking geniuses they are working here, huh? I guess they haven’t seen him up here on stage for the last 90 minutes. He’s in the band!”
Belladonna stayed calm and said “Sorry about that, I’m gonna have a sore ass tomorrow, no doubt.”

When you go to a concert its normal to see security guards/ bouncers on both sides of the stage. Watching not the band but to look after every crowd member, so it got me thinking that maybe that is the reason why the guard didn’t know that he ran into Joey because he was not familiar with the guy or he didn’t have a choice but to take the fan and the singer down as if there will be a big explosion. In the local scene our guards Juggernauts are worse than failure.

Bassist Josh Newton has parted ways with Every Time I Die, tweeting ‘Thanks to all the ETID dudes and all who cared. ’twas fun. ch-ch-ch-changes’ , ‘The last 3 weeks have been the most grueling tour we’ve ever done and we have cherished every second. Rock In Peace, Josh Newton, we love you.’ – Every Time I Die.
He became part of the band as the 7th bassist who joined in 2007. The split is amicable as he added “Just to reiterate: all is well w/ ETID & myself. drama free. I’ve made the decision to spend more time at home.”
What a bummer news I think nobody expected this coming at all. The band just wrapped up their Southeast Asian tour and I personally watched them last week in Manila and had a few chit chats with the guys except for Josh Newton who just stood and didn’t say a word when I collated their autographs. On a lighter note of course the band has to get going hes departure caused former member Steve Micciche to fill in on their GWAR tour. We thank you Josh Newton it was an awesome ride and wish you best of luck! ETID Live in Manila pictures Follow @Headbalisser on Twitter.
